All digital image downloads from Northern California Scenics (NCS) are licensed for limited use only. By purchasing and downloading any image, you agree to the terms outlined on this page.

These terms apply to standard digital downloads purchased through the NCS website or affiliated storefronts.

For editorial magazine licensing, large-scale commercial use, or custom agreements, please request a separate license.

TIER 1: Web Size Digital Download (2048px)

Includes:

  • One image at 2048 pixels on the long edge

Licensed for:

  • Personal use

  • Small-scale editorial use such as blogs, websites, and internal presentations

Suitable for:

  • Web use

  • Small prints under 5×7 inches

Not Licensed for:

❌ Resale or redistribution
❌ Commercial branding or advertising
❌ Merchandise or products for sale
❌ Printed books or long-form print publications

TIER 2: High-Resolution Digital Download (3600px+)

Includes:

  • One high-resolution image (3600 pixels or greater)

Licensed for:

  • One-time (non-transferrable), non-exclusive commercial use

Allowed for:

  • Websites

  • Small business marketing materials

  • Presentations and signage

  • Internal publications

Not Licensed for:

❌ Resale or redistribution
❌ Printed books or long-form print publications
❌ Product packaging
❌ Merchandise or digital products for sale

Uses Not Permitted (All Tiers)

  • Resale of image files or derivatives

  • Use in printed books or long-form print publications without a separate license

  • Use on merchandise, apparel, or products for sale

  • Billboards, murals, or wall-scale reproductions without written permission

Editorial & Custom Licensing

For uses beyond standard digital downloads, custom licensing is available.

This includes:

  • Editorial magazine and newspaper features

  • Commercial branding and marketing campaigns

  • Corporate mural and large-format installations

  • Exclusive image use for limited or unlimited terms
